Is onewith swim a scam?
We’ve seen the comments, reviews, emails, DMs, etc saying "onewith swim is a scam! My suit still digs in. It doesn't fit like no-show undies!"
The negative comments are RIGHT. our swim DOES dig in…when it’s not ‘warmed up’ with a stretch (this is mission-critical) OR is just the wrong size altogether!

Why onewith Feels Different Than Other Swimwear
If you’re used to traditional swimsuits, our better-than-seamless swimsuits will feel a little different.
That’s because instead of tight elastic seams, our suits are:
- bonded, not sewn with tight, bulky seams that squeeze
- made with two layers of standard swim fabric
- designed with a soft, flexible inner grip strip to keep it secure
This is what creates that smooth, edgeless, dig-free swimsuit fit and feel, just like your favorite no-show undies.
It's no secret that onewith swimsuits that fit like underwear® are designed differently than traditional swim. And because of that, there’s one mission-critical step most people skip: you gotta stetch your suit!
The 30-Second Step That Changes Everything
Before you judge the fit of your beyond-seamless swimsuit, you need to stretch your suit.
We call it “warming up” your onewith, and it only takes about 30 seconds.
Here’s how to do it:
- Try on your suit. It SHOULD be digging in at this stage.
- Get a hearty grip at each opening of the garment, and give it a good STRETCH.
- Do this for each onewith swim piece, and admire that lay-flat, dig-free, edgeless swimsuit fit.
If you're more of a visual learner, check out the quick demo we made here.
Note: if your flattering swimsuit is digging in slightly, you may just need to keep warming it up! Even a quick walk in your suit is enough to fully warm it up and achieve a lay-flat swimsuit fit.
We're serious when we say: if you don’t stretch your onewith suit, you haven’t actually tried it on yet.

How to Tell If Your Suit Fits
Once you've warmed up your onewith (AKA given it a stretch as directed), here’s how to know if your suit is:
Perfect fit:
- snug but comfortable
- smooth against your skin
- no digging
Too small:
- still digging in after stretching
👉 size up
Too big:
- felt perfect without stretching
👉 size down
If you didn’t need to stretch your swim that fits like undies to achieve that smooth yet secure fit, it means it's too big. This can allow water to move between your body and the garment, causing it to stretch out an undesired amount. We don't want that!

To Summarize, is onewith swim a Scam?
Nope! onewith isn't your average swimsuit.
If something feels off, it usually comes down to:
- Skipping the stretch
- Needing a different size
- Needing a different style
Once you get the right combo?
You’ll get that smooth, secure, fits-like-undies fit and feel.

The Biggest Thing to Remember
If you take one thing from this entire blog, make it this: Stretch. Your. Suit.
Because the difference between “this isn’t it” and “this is the best swimsuit I’ve ever owned” is about 30 seconds.
