onewith swim on Shark Tank: Part 3 | Airing on Shark Tank!

I LOVED what Sarah from Curie did to document her Shark Tank experience..a series of blog posts breaking down her journey! I am going to take a page out of her book and do the same. Make sure you check out Sarah's Shark Tank blog posts here, and shop Curie's products, while you're at it. (I love their Armpit Detox Mask).

ICYMI: I'm Hayley; me and my brand of patent-pending swimsuits that fit like underwear®️ were on Shark Tank on January 24, 2025. But ahead of any major milestone such as our better-than-seamless swimsuits landing in the Tank, there is always a story.

Part 1 of the story, a blog post entitled Getting on the Show, can be read here. Part 2 of the story, Getting to LA & Pitching in the Tank, can be read here

Now, the moment this was all for...the eventual airing of my segment!

As many other Shark Tank alums have recounted; when you tape, you do not, and I can not stress this enough, do NOT, have certainty that you will even air on the show. It's simply a risk you have to be willing to take.

Gratefully, I got my air date about 4 months after taping: January 24, 2025 🎉

Much like prepping to tape Shark Tank, there is also loads of prep to air. It was non-stop grinding from the moment I got my air date to actually airing (I mean, and after airing, for that matter!) So much backend work to do. Getting my air date also meant I could tell my friends and family and the rest of the 1W team what I had been up to for the last 10 months, so that was ultra-exciting, too. Their reactions were amazing and I was so thrilled to share the news with them. I still couldn't say whether I got a deal though, they'd have to watch and find out! 😉

I'll cherish this moment forever; my sister Sydney's reaction to finding out I was going to be on Shark Tank.

I knew that if we did air, I was going to have a BIG party to celebrate. A lot of people do a watch party the night they air, but I knew that would A) be too much for me...seeing the segment in real-time for the first time and hosting a soiree simultaneously...no thanks! and B) it didn't feel responsible for me, personally. Ultimately, I have a business to run, and I wanted to be available to my business and my team to deal with the undoubted surge of new customers discovering and shopping onewith for the first time.

Also...if nothing else, I wanted to just be able to soak it all in the night we aired and allow myself to really relish it, and celebrate in a big way the next day.

After so much work, not just to prep to air but also all the Tank prep that came before it, our air date had finally come. I was calm, and eager to see the segment.

When filming, you are in the Tank for anywhere from 30 minutes to 90 minutes (or so I've heard, I actually have no frame of reference for how long I was actually in the Tank for!) and of course, you begin to wonder what footage they'll use from all that was taped. We were about to find out!

We ordered sushi with one of my sisters and settled in to watch our Shark Tank debut. It was so exciting and affirming to see me/the models/our pitch on TV. So many new visitors on our site, so much excitement, so much support...it was all just SO exciting, to use that word/a version of it 3x in the same short paragraph.

Once the piece of the segment aired that showed me getting a deal, my phone was flooded with texts, calls, DMs, emails. Lots of people showing their support.

I am so grateful to Jamie, Barbara, to everyone who has shown me support, and for my entire Shark Tank experience.

There was so much to celebrate...and celebrate we did! See the recap of our big Shark Tank party at the aquarium in my next blog post 🦈
