The Swimsuit Wedding Dress: How Our Founder Got Married in onewith
When the onewith founder, Hayley Cannon (formerly Hayley Segar), got engaged, she knew exactly what she needed to do.
She got to work with our team, and designed a one-of-a-kind onewith swimsuit wedding dress inspired by our Idlewild One Piece. It's a fully-functional swimsuit, built exactly the way all of our swimsuits that fit like undies are: bonded (not sewn), ultra-comfortable, and made to feel like a second skin.
We'll say that again. Yes, it’s a real, fully functional, beyond-seamless swimsuit!
Because at the end of the day, nothing makes Hayley feel as good as onewith. So wearing onewith for her wedding? It just made sense.

Why wear a swimsuit wedding dress?
As the founder of a swimsuit brand, why wouldn't she wear a swimsuit wedding dress?
Our better-than-seamless swimsuits are designed to feel like your favorite no-show undies. No tight seams, no bulky elastics, no constant adjusting. Just a smooth, sculpting swimsuit fit that moves with your body.
For Hayley's wedding day, comfort and confidence came first. A traditional dress didn’t feel like her. A swimsuit wedding dress did.

The design: inspired by the Idlewild One-Piece
This bridal look was based on our Idlewild High-Neck One-Piece swimsuit, a customer-favorite silhouette known for its:
-
High neckline for a sleek, elevated look
-
Low back for that subtle, unexpected drama
-
Sculpting, smoothing swimsuit fit that hugs in all the right places
From there, it was reimagined into a dress, while keeping everything that makes onewith, onewith.
It was crafted the onewith way: no tight bulky seams or elastic in sight. It still ultra-comfortable, and still designed to be worn in and out of the water. And, you know Hayley had to go for a swim in her swimsuit wedding dress!
Reminder that this is truly one-of-one. We will not be producing swimsuit wedding dresses.

Will onewith ever make white swimsuits?
We get questions about white beyond seamless swimsuits all the time.
The honest answer: no (even though we get the hype).
White fabric is naturally more see-through, and because our swimsuits are bonded instead of sewn, the internal construction would be visible through the fabric. It doesn’t meet our standards for a smooth, edgeless swim look. To read more about how we make decisions when it comes to colors and styles, visit this blog post.
