onewith swim on Shark Tank: Part 4 | Our Shark Tank Party at the Aquarium!
I LOVED what Sarah from Curie did to document her Shark Tank experience..a series of blog posts breaking down her journey! I am going to take a page out of her book and do the same. Make sure you check out Sarah's Shark Tank blog posts here, and shop Curie's products, while you're at it. (I love their Armpit Detox Mask).
ICYMI: I'm Hayley; me and my brand of patent-pending swimsuits that fit like underwear®️ were on Shark Tank on January 24, 2025. But ahead of any major milestone such as our better-than-seamless swimsuits landing in the Tank, there is always a story.
Part 1 of the story, a blog post entitled Getting on the Show, can be read here. Part 2 of the story, Getting to LA & Pitching in the Tank, can be read here. Part 3, all about airing on Shark Tank, can be read here.
It goes against my normal way of being to even want to throw a party. But, airing on/getting a deal on Shark Tank was representative of so much more than just the accolade of getting on the show. And I knew that I wanted to throw a party to celebrate the big picture.
For me, the party was a way to honor the journey—the relentless hard work, the setbacks, the late nights, and the unwavering belief in myself when few others could see the vision. Nothing about building onewith has come easily. Every milestone has been hard-fought, shaped by resilience, determination, and a passion that has fueled me since day one. Getting on Shark Tank wasn’t luck; it was the result of years of sacrifice, grit, and refusing to give up, even when faced with rejection and doubt from others. This celebration wasn’t just about the excitement of securing a deal—it was about acknowledging the battles behind the scenes, the lessons learned, and the personal growth that came from betting on myself. It was a tribute to the passion, grit, and perseverance that have been the foundation of onewith, and a reminder that belief in yourself is the most powerful force there is.
With that said...I had to secure the best possible venue to celebrate....right?
I mean, we're a swimwear brand that aired on Shark Tank; I couldn't NOT have the party at the aquarium, complete with an actual shark tank. At least, that is what I told myself after we were racking our brains to come up with the best possible venue idea. Once I thought of the aquarium, I did what I tend to do; tunnel vision locked-in to make it happen.
As I mentioned in my last blog post, I wanted to do the party the night after we aired. Read the post for more on why. Regardless of when the party took place, it is objectively bonkers to plan a wedding-sized event within 3 weeks (if I was gonna do it, I was gonna do it BIG) while simultaneously prepping to be on Shark Tank.
But I am so glad I did it; it was a great way to celebrate and punctuate the Shark Tank experience in an incredibly meaningful way, surrounded by friends, family, and colleagues.
I am also so, so glad I hired a photographer to come and capture the evening so I could just enjoy with guests. I have so many photos from this night with the people that mean the absolute most to me, and I cherish them deeply.
Here's some photos from the evening, taken by Hector Pachas!
